Name of Site/Business: Tao Groove
Site's Main Purpose: Fun/Leisure
Please Review the following:
Does the home page sufficiently convince people to go further into the site?
Does/can the site achieve its main purpose?
Navigation. Is it clear and easy to understand?
Appearance/Attractiveness
Search engine marketing. Can the pages be reasonably well indexed by search engines?
Additional Comments/Notes
I've been trying to get traffic to websites for like 5 years. I've never been any good at it. I can get the sites up and running, but traffic always eludes me. The closest i've ever come is about 1000 hits in a month for a tshirt site (www.shirtsforbands.com).
I've read all the SEO info I can handle and I think i've followed all rules, but i'm just not seeing any returns.
Any of you gurus out there see any glaring errors in taogroove.com that make it a traffic resistor?
Don't flame the crap out of me please, i'm just at the end of my rope and need a direction to move in! Thanks in advance!

I note that you have decided to use the non www domain instead of the www one. I strongly recommend you do it the other (conventional) way because everyone who links to your site will link to the www domain. This completely wrecks your Google PageRank. I can speak from 8 years experience of my own domain internetmarketingengine.com. I even have problems where for example, some person at Yahoo, after my entry in the Yahoo directory has been to the non www domain for 4 years, decides to change it to the www domain, which is a redirect. So, if and when you/me find these changes, we then have to spend a lot of time trying to get the directories to change them back. It's a never ending problem.
Next, whoever wrote the redirect from your www domain has completely screwed it up - they have used a 302 redirect instead of a 301. However, they have probably done you a favour - if you follow my advice and make your www domain the "active" one then a 301 from the non www domain may work faster (because the other one was a 302 - a temporary redirect).
Next, the 3 words which are most used on your home page, don't even appear in your Title or meta description tag. For on page keyword optimization you can use my keywords analyzer here: [link]
