INDUSTRY CONFERENCES
Search Engine Strategies SES - Technical Search Engine Marketing
Web 2.0 Summit - Probably more for Fortune 500 type companies
Internet Retailers Conference - Aimed at Fortune 500 type companies
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED* SEMINARS, WORKSHOPS, CONFERENCES
* Recommended by Moderator flyingrose as an individual
Derek Gehl Internet Marketing Center Workshops - Excellent for anyone who wants to make money online even if they have zero experience and no current business. Hands down the best seminar I have ever attended. (See my Best Web Design Notes from that event. Two day event requiring reservation fee ($97 when this was posted) that is fully and quickly refunded should you choose not to apply it to anything they offer. While the event does offer many products there is no high pressure and they don't care if you buy or not. If you're serious about making money online you may want to seriously consider having funds available that day. They really know their stuff and sometimes offer redesigns and custom sites that you cannot buy from them any other time.
One caution though: their sites and some of their redesigns are over-the-top hype-y for my tastes and the tastes of many traditional businesses. Make sure that you know precisely what you're getting if you decide to contract them.
Yahoo Search Marketing Seminar - Exceptional value. I recommend all advertisers with any experience level attend both sessions. The more you already know they more you'll learn and be able to apply. See my Yahoo! Search Marketing Seminar Review - I doubt that these seminars will be given by the excellent instructors I reviewed. I now recommend these independent seminars as the best way to learn or improve any PPC advertising program: PPC Summit
