Hi All,
I have a discussion with my friend regarding reciprocal linking importance. He is teling like after Jagger Update google giving no importance of Reciprocal link building only it is giving importance to inbound & 3 way linking. Is it correct..I got confused..because the reciprocal linking will have more importance than 1 & 3 way link building.
Please give me the correct ans for this...
Thanks in Advance,
Tagore

3 way linking is spammy and should be avoided at all costs, Google now gives less weight to a reciprocal link, but still some, one-way are by far the best but can be very hard to obtain

one way link is a good source for visitors, why would you link to someone to help their rankings?
reciprocal linking is used orginally to exchange traffic, changed a bit nowadays
three way linking has one purpose and one purpose only which is to trick the search engines into seeing one-way links, it's not for the visitors so therefore is spam
an example of three way linking is site A links to site B, site B links to site C and site C links to site A
btw in a triangle link, sometimes people try and be clever and have hexagon linking or more lol, it's all still spam and the search engines can see this (8/10 of the time anyway)

Recip linking is still safe, and for most folks, the only real way (other than directories) to get started building links.
3-way linking has been considered spam for some time now and should be avoided. Using this form of link building will get you nowhere with the engines.

I don't even worry about that kind of technical mumbo-jumbo when it comes to how or what Google or any other major search engine does with reciprocal or three-way or any other type of linking strategy.
It's a moving target. Why try to even play that game when the technical rules are always changing?
What DOES work to help build quality targeted traffic to your site on a consistent basis is having lots of inbound links to your site. And a large number of inbound links alone will do wonders for your search engine ranking, since your site is then deemed "relevant", i.e. there must be something to it if so many other sites are linking to it.
The best way to get those links? Article marketing. If done right, using the right tools, you'll find article marketing to be your number one strategy to generate traffic quickly and easily.

Sorry to tell you this Gary, but the volume of inbound links no longer matters - hasn't in over a year now. It's quality that counts. In fact, get too many links to fast now, and you'll likely be penalized.

Are you saying using the same articles that everyone else can use on their websites? Thus leaving you with duplicate ocnten ton your website, in effect.
Sorry, no - this is NOT the best way to rank well with the engines.
The best way to build inbound links is the same as it's always been:
Build quality, unique content that users WANT to link to. Don't use the same articles that anyone else can access. All the inbound links online won't get you past a duplicate content penalty...

And...
You really seem to like this "article submission" stuff... you have posted the same answer in five different threads today already.
I'll say that most of the articles that people are suddenly generating are worthless contentless spam. And many are copied from other sites.
