is there any chance to improve traffic to our site while submitting our site into a paid directory? if so, why so many clients are submitting their sites into free directory like DMOZ even it is a time taking process?

any one can explain on this..

    thanks in advance..

Yes you can improve traffic to your site by submitting to paid directories.

    Try:
    yahoo.com
    joeant.com
    gimpsy.com
    goguides.org

Plus there are many lists on the web for paid and free directories, but be careful, over the last few years a lot of paid directories have been set up that will not send any real traffic. It is very hard to tell the difference between the good and the bad, but the ones I listed are good.

Also, being in these directories gives you a certain amount of credibility with the major search engines as these directories are hand edited by real people, so the quality of a site has to be high to get in.
